A former soldier turned cyber sleuth, known only as Narrator, belongs to a secret online society dedicated to unraveling the mysteries of the Net of Lights; an AI system capable of predicting human behavior on a global scale. When the system suddenly loses track of half the population it monitors, Narrator is drawn into a covert race to uncover the cause while keeping the AI’s existence hidden from the world.
